Her shade was red,
His color was blue.
Together they’d turn violet,
In an instant they knew.
Like a tranquil breeze,
That comes in after a storm,
Each came in to ease,
And strengthen another’s form.
Both looked for a crimson sunset,
As a pleasant end to the past.
Instead they stared at what’d beget,
An ochre sunrise that’d come to last.
Like an orange autumn that paves the way,
For a cozy, blanche winter ready to set in,
They eagerly waited for the day,
When a warm soul would walk right in.
Seeking to turn a shade deeper,
They worked on their core color.
Hoping to reach a higher order,
They helped blend into each other.
They were both violet now,
Inked more by the other’s soul.
Together they came to see how,
One could build another’s bole.
